We want to quickly explain the basis for our elder-led church leadership structure here at Way of the Lord Church in Blaine, Minnesota. Here are the main points: 1) It's Biblical. 2) It's wise. 3) It's practical.

Way of the Lord Church Vision Series: Part 1 | Our Purpose, Mission, and Path | Joey Stontz This is the first part in our vision series laying out the current vision and mission of our church centered on the greatest commandments, the great commission, and the plan for discipleship in our community.

Two of our elders, Jake Givand & Larry Alberts (our lead elder), outline the Biblical and practical reasons for why our church functions in a team-leadership approach.

We lay out our worship service expectations and guidelines for children, parents, and the entire congregation. These are our core values for our worship services: 1) Freedom of expression (2 Corinthians 3:17) 2) Intergenerational engagement (Psalm 148:13) 3) Reverence & awe (Hebrews 12:28) We want parents and others in the congregation to model the heart and expression of Biblical worship for the sons and daughters in our gatherings. No child is perfect (or adult for that matter!), so extending grace for mistakes is crucial in worshiping as a "family." We are able to lay aside our "worship preferences" for the sake of our convictions and core values, which is to raise up radical worshiping disciples of the sons and daughters God has blessed us with!
